At our year-end summary meeting on January 20th, 29 members from 11 different ethnicities attended.
We invited officers from the Hate Crime Police Department to reiterate the importance of recognising Hate Crime and its relationship with different places and races. They also provided us with many helpful contact methods and updated QR codes, allowing everyone to contact the police immediately in case of any issues. Thanks goes to this team for their engagement.
We summarized our work achievements for the year, annual expenses and income, updated our Directors, and discussed our achievements for 2025.
We highlighted how the new Pilates course helps women improve their physical health, how the Afghani Resettlement Scheme group helps new immigrants settle in and support their lives and work, achieving commendable results.
We also announced the new twice-monthly LEGO children’s library activities, which help many children develop their intelligence and participate in book-reading prize activities, benefiting more children and families. In addition to the children’s LEGO activities, we also provide basic learning opportunities for mothers and anyone interested in knitting and crochet. Furthermore, we participated in several museum pottery activities, engaging in collective creation that explored the history and culture of the Exeter River and its contemporary changes.
