Our recent Sports Day was a vibrant and uplifting gathering that brought together 114 attendees, including 70 children, representing 10 different ethnicities. From Afghan and Black minority communities to Greek and many others. The day was filled with energy, teamwork, and shared joy as families and colleagues came together to celebrate inclusion and unity through sport.

One of the highlight moments was the War of Tug, where teams faced off in a lively and goodspirited challenge that had everyone cheering, from the ladies to the men and kids everyone got to compete and participate. Alongside tug of war, families enjoyed a range of games and activities that encouraged confidence, connection, and plenty of laughter.

We were honoured to welcome Emma Smith from Killerton, whose support and engagement added a special touch to the event.

The feedback from attendees has been vary encouraging. One participant shared, “Thank you for today, had a lovely time, hopefully see you all again soon.” Another added, “This is the best way for families to be combined with British society and make friends. We enjoyed yesterday and would participate in all upcoming events.”

This Sports Day was a beautiful reminder of the strength of community, and we look forward to many more moments like this.
